James F. Stern

James F. Stern is currently the EVP, General Counsel & Secretary at A. O. Smith. James has previously served on the Board of Directors for Jason Industries, Inc. and Polar Ware Company. Stern has also been a partner at Foley & Lardner LLP, where they specialized in merger and acquisitions and corporate practice.

James F. Stern earned their Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame. James then went on to earn their Doctor of Law (JD) from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. Finally, they completed the Advanced Managment Program - AMP 186 at Harvard University.
