Senior Range Safety Engineer at A-P-T Research

Brenda Wall has over 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Brenda began their career in 1989 as a Range Safety Lead Engineer at United Space Alliance, a contract novation from Rockwell Space Operations Company. In this role, they generated Space Shuttle Range Safety flight-critical support products and analysis support to NASA, 45th Space Wing and USAF for Shuttle operations. Brenda also delivered timely and error free product generation and quality assurance in support of JSC MOD ascent flight design.

In 1998, Wall moved to RTI International as a Research Aerospace Engineer. There, they supported the Oklahoma Spaceport feasibility study for FAA by calculating reusable launch vehicle risk analysis, trajectory analysis, flight termination system effectiveness, and vehicle fragmentation modeling. Brenda also served as lead flight safety analyst for the Delta IV launch vehicle program under CSSC 1 contract.

Wall joined A-P-T Research, Inc. in 2006 as a Senior Research Engineer. In this role, they provided expert insight into flight safety requirements in NPR 8715. 5, NASA-STD-8719. 25, NPR 8715. Brenda also coordinated cross Agency support for NASA, Air Force Space Command and FAA regarding flight analysis support and issue resolution efforts for reusable, expendable, and manned vehicle operations.

In 2009, Wall moved to Millennium Engineering and Integration as a Senior Safety and Mission Assurance Engineer. There, they implemented and maintained KSC’s GIDEP requirements and processes. Brenda was also responsible for evaluating, coordinating, monitoring, and performing engineering safety analyses of Center systems, equipment, and operations. Brenda was recognized by NASA with a Space Flight Awareness award for their leadership and initiative.

Wall returned to A-P-T Research, Inc. in 2012 as a Senior Range Safety Engineer. In this role, they provided expert insight into flight safety requirements in NPR 8715. 5, NASA-STD-8719. 25, NPR 8715.

Overall, Brenda Wall has extensive experience in the aerospace industry, ranging from range safety engineering to mission assurance engineering. Brenda is highly knowledgeable in flight safety requirements and has been recognized by NASA for their leadership and initiative.

Brenda Wall received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1988. In 1990, they obtained their Shuttle Range Safety Day-Of-Launch Console Support certification from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. In 1993, they received their Shuttle Range Safety Analyst certification from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, followed by their Shuttle Range Safety Designer certification in 1994. Additionally, they are a member of the Government-Industy Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) with DLA.
