Lorraine Herel

Lorraine Herel has over 29 years of experience in quality assurance, engineering, and program management. Lorraine began their career in 1992 as a Quality Assurance Engineer at L-3 Display Systems. In 2004, they became a Quality Auditor at Precision Edge Surgical Products Co., LLC. From 2005 to 2008, they worked as a Quality Engineer and Program Manager/Product Engineer at Federal-Mogul. Lorraine then became Quality Manager at HiTek Services, Inc. in 2008. In 2012, they were a Sr. Lean Sigma Engineer at Steelcase, Inc. From 2013 to 2018, they were a Sr. Quality Engineer at Orchid Orthopedics Solutions. Lorraine then worked as a Configuration Management and Quality Assurance Specialist at MAG Aerospace from 2018 to 2021. Since 2005, they have also been an Engineer/Consultant at Lorraine Herel Consulting, where they are an American Society of Quality Certified Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence, Certified Software Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Lorraine also co-founded the Huntsville Job Networking Club from 2011 to 2013.

Lorraine Herel has an extensive education history. Lorraine began their academic career at State University of New York College at Cortland, where they studied Bio, El Ed, and Psych from 1978 to 1980. Lorraine then transferred to Cornell University, where they obtained a BSAE in Engineering from 1980 to 1983. In 2010, they completed their S.D.S. from Society of the Divine Savior. Additionally, Lorraine Herel has obtained numerous certifications, including an EIA-649 Application of the Standard for Configuration Management Certificate of Completion from IPX (Institute for Process Excellence) in 2019, a Duolingo German Fluency: Advanced (Estimated) from Duolingo in 2017, a Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) from ASQ - World Headquarters in 2013, a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt from ASQ - World Headquarters in 2011, a Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence - CMQ/OE from ASQ - World Headquarters in 2011, a Quality Auditor - CQA from ASQ - World Headquarters in 2010, a Quality Engineer - CQE from ASQ - World Headquarters in 2009, a Six Sigma Black Belt - SSBB from ASQ - World Headquarters in 2013, a Software Quality Engineer - CSQE from ASQ - World Headquarters in 2009, and a LEED Green Associate: Certified from GBCI in 2013.
