Rita Turner has been working in the software engineering industry since 1989. Rita began their career as a Software Product Assurance Engineer at General Electric Company/Martin Marietta. From 1994 to 1998, they worked as a Senior Software Quality Engineer at CSC. Following this, they held the same role at RAYTHEON COMPANY from 1998 to 2003. During this time, they provided SQE support to various programs, generated process tailoring and bid and proposal efforts, and managed software quality budgets. From 2003 to 2011, they worked as a Systems and Software Quality (SSQ) Engineer Staff at Lockheed Martin. During this time, they utilized their skills as Lead Software Quality Engineer to improve the software development processes on multiple programs. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Software Quality Engineer (Contractor) at National Engineering. During this time, they evaluated existing Software Quality processes/procedures, identified gaps, and updated accordingly. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as a Software Quality Engineer IV and Software Quality Engineer (Contractor) at Northrop Grumman Corporation. Since 2017, they have been working as a Software Safety Engineer at APT (A-P-T Research, Inc.).
Rita Turner has an education history that includes a Masters Degree in Software Engineering from Southern Methodist University (2001-2007), an M.S in Software Engineering from Southern Methodist University (2001-2007), and a BS in Computer Science from West Chester University. Rita also holds an ASQ CSQE certification from ASQ.
