Scott Peer

Scott Peer is a Senior System Safety Engineer at APT Research, Inc., specializing in Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and fault tree analysis for NASA's Blue Moon MK2 lunar lander. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Systems Engineer and Software Engineer at Virgin Orbit, where four successful flights of the LauncherOne rocket were achieved, along with a stint as Founder of Cut Your Watts, focusing on energy efficiency solutions. As a Co-founder at Red Peak Engineering, Scott committed efforts to sustainability after a lengthy career in aerospace that included developing flight software for the Cassini mission at Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Scott holds a Master's degree in System Science from UCLA and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
