A Place Called Home
Bernyce Talley serves as the Associate Director of Arts & Creative Expressions at A Place Called Home since November 2020, building upon extensive experience within the organization, including roles as Visual Art and Digital Media Senior Lead and Visual Art Lead from March 2018 to November 2020, and Visual Art Lead and Art Coordinator from June 2008 to 2018. Talley holds a Bachelor's degree in Fine/Studio Arts from Clark Atlanta University and a Certificate in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics and Special Effects from Santa Monica College. Currently, Talley is pursuing a Master's degree in Education at the University of Southern California and a Master's degree in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design, both programs commencing in 2018 and 2011 respectively.

A Place Called Home (APCH) is a safe haven in South Central Los Angeles where under-served youth are empowered to take ownership of the quality and direction of their lives through programs in education, arts and well-being, and are inspired to make a meaningful difference in their communities and the world. Core programs work in conjunction with one another to support APCH members in avoiding destructive behaviors by developing life skills and providing motivation to overcome adversity, make healthy, productive choices and take advantage of the opportunities which lie before them.
