Sarah Garase-Cuomo has more than 16 years of experience in the human services and nonprofit arena.
Prior to working at the agency, Sarah was an accountant with both Donnelly-Boland and Associates and Great Lakes Behavioral Institute, where she specialized in grant accounting and government contracts.
She began her career at the agency in 2004 as an administrator before becoming director of accounting. In 2012, under Garase-Cuomo’s direction, the fiscal team was named Department of the Year. After serving as director for a number of years, she was named the Chief Financial Officer and vice president of finance. In 2013, Garase-Cuomo received ASCI’s Visionary of the Year award. Her engagement in these multiple roles has not only provided her with valuable learning experiences, but also helped the department evolve as the agency grew.
Garase-Cuomo earned her master’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting and finance, from the California University of Pennsylvania.
She is committed to ASCI’s mission to strengthen and preserve healthy kinship families for children.
