Writing a book can feel a lot like being in the middle of a storm of ideas — characters, themes, scenes, and questions all swirling at once.

That’s where I come in.

At A. Sewall Editorial, I work with authors to bring clarity and structure to developing stories. My goal is to help writers step back, see the patterns in their work, and shape their manuscripts into something that fully reflects the story they’re trying to tell.

Before moving into editorial work, I spent over a decade in user experience research and hold a PhD in Human Factors Psychology. My background is in understanding how people think, behave, and make sense of complex systems — skills that translate perfectly to story structure and narrative development.

These days I love working with authors in the messy middle of the writing process: helping them see the big picture, strengthen key moments, and bring their ideas to life on the page.
