Belinda de la Libertad has a long and varied work experience. Belinda began their career in 1992 as a Programmer at IBM Tivoli Software, where they evaluated and modified assembly line programs for Systems Engineering and optimized internal code to enhance the efficiency of the systems review process. In 1993, they became an OnLine Consultant at MIT, providing live network support to thousands of users of MIT's proprietary computer network. In 1997, they were a Research Assistant at the Executive Office of the President. From 2000 to 2005, they held multiple positions. Belinda was a Research Analyst at the Santa Ana Unified School District, a Census 2000 Partnership Specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and a Management Analyst at the City of Anaheim. In 2005, they founded and became the Managing Partner of A-Z TECHS, a division of A-Z TECH SUPPORT LLC, specializing in providing information technology support to small and medium business and non-profit clients in Southern California.

Belinda de la Libertad has an extensive education history. Belinda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Media Arts from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Arts in Radio-TV-Film from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Public Affairs from The LBJ School of Public Affairs, and a Dual Participation degree in Statistics from Texas Lutheran University, obtained in 1990. Belinda also has several certifications, including Nationbuilder Expert from NationBuilder obtained in December 2019, Blockchain: Technologies & Apps for Business from UC Berkeley Executive Education obtained in July 2019, and Certified Public Speaker from Toastmasters International obtained in December 1999.
