Glen Townsend

Glen Townsend has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Glen is currently working as a Sales Engineer at A10 Networks, Inc since March 2020, where they are responsible for regional sales in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Kansas. Glen has consistently exceeded quotas and received the RAD Award for the first quarter of 2021. Glen'srole involves conducting pre-sales meetings and attending customer meetings to present and discuss A10 Products.

Prior to that, Glen worked as a Sales Engineer - MSP at FireMon from June 2019 to March 2020, where they focused on Managed Service Providers. Glen successfully managed proof of concept installs, customer demos, and achieved qualification for FireMon's Achiever's club in 2019.

Glen has extensive experience at F5 Networks, where they held multiple roles. Glen served as a Sales Engineer - Managed Service Provider from October 2014 to June 2019, earning recognition for excellence trips in FY16 and FY17. Glen also developed automated F5 onboarding scripts utilizing REST and AS3 Frameworks.

In their earlier positions at F5 Networks, Glen worked as an Engagement Consultant (Consulting Sales Engineer) from March 2011 to October 2014, contributing significantly to increasing sales and growing the Canada Professional Services region. Glen also worked as a Consultant from January 2006 to March 2011, responsible for production installation of F5 equipment and providing mentorship to new consultants.

Before joining F5 Networks, Glen worked at Citrix - Netscaler as a Field Engineer from March 2005 to December 2005, where they performed production and evaluation installations of Netscaler Equipment, completed necessary certifications, and sales training.

Prior to that, Glen served as a Sr. Network Engineer at FedEx Kinko's from November 2004 to March 2005, where they documented and researched the network infrastructure and developed UNIX scripts for Load Balancing issues troubleshooting.

Glen's career started at Data Return, LLC as a Sr. Network Engineer from April 2000 to November 2004. Glen designed, tested, and implemented customer network solutions in a load-balanced environment, wrote UNIX scripts for automation, and managed over 100 F5 BigIP's.

Before Data Return, Glen worked as a Network Engineer at Erasmus Network Services from 1997 to 1999, and as an Engineer at The Future Now (XL Connect) from 1995 to 1997.

Glen began their professional journey as a Microsoft Support Engineer at Volt from June 1993 to November 1995.

Throughout their career, Glen has gained expertise in sales, pre-sales, networking, load balancing, and automation. Glen has consistently demonstrated strong technical skills, achieved sales targets, and contributed to the growth of various organizations.
