Jason Wang has a diverse work experience in the field of biotherapeutics and scientific research. Jason is currently working as a Senior Research Associate I at A2 Biotherapeutics, Inc. Prior to this, they spent over a decade at Thermo Fisher Scientific in various roles. As a Scientist 3, they led a team in developing and applying process improvements to IVD products for HLA antibody detection in transplant patients, as well as being the team lead for chimeric antibody production and the ReFlex project. In their previous role as a Scientist 2, Jason maintained and developed whole cell DNA panels for quality control of primers, designed primers for quality control trays and sequencing of recombinant cell lines. As a Scientist 1, their responsibilities included growing, freezing, harvesting, and treating tissue cultures, performing cell transfection quality control, and determining DNA alleles for HLA DNA exchanges. Jason also has prior experience as a Hospital Laboratory Technician at UCLA Microbiology Processing. Jason started their career as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Plath Lab and as an Undergraduate Assistant at Sun Lab.

Jason Wang attended UCLA from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics.
