Peter I Parenti, Ed.D has a diverse range of work experience in the education sector. Peter I started their career as a Teacher at San Lorenzo USD in 1992 and worked there until 2005. Peter I then joined the San Lorenzo Unified School District as the Coordinator of New Teacher Development, where they provided leadership and coordination for various teacher development programs. In 2007, they became a Faculty Professor at Saint Mary's College of California, where they focused on teacher leadership and collaborated with other faculty members.

In 2008, Parenti joined the Newark Unified School District as the Principal of Graham Elementary, a role they held until 2011. Peter I then moved to the Albany Unified School District, where they served as the Principal of Albany Middle School from 2011 to 2013. Peter I later became the Director III of Curriculum & Instruction and then the Assistant Superintendent at Albany Unified School District until 2017.

From 2017 to 2019, Parenti worked as the Assistant Superintendent at Hayward Unified School District. In 2019, they joined TRiGroup, Inc. as the Vice President, a role they currently hold. Additionally, they are an active member of the A4LE-Association for Learning Environments, serving as an At Large Board Member for the NorCal/Nevada Chapter since 2022 and as the President since January 2023.

Peter I Parenti, Ed.D has a Bachelor's degree from California State University - East Bay, which they obtained between 1988 and 1993. Peter I then pursued a Master's degree in Education from Saint Mary's College of California, which they completed between 2006 and 2007. After that, they attended Università degli Studi di Firenze in 1992 and 1993, where they studied Italian. Peter I'smost recent educational achievement is a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Leadership for Equity in Education from the University of California, Berkeley, which they acquired between 2014 and 2017.
