Conlan Ma

Conlan Ma is the co-CEO of A5 Labs. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Variant Labs, and before that, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Striiv Inc.

Conlan has over 9 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on digital health products. Conlan has successfully led retail launches for Striiv SmartPedometer, Placement at Best Buy, 24hr Fitness, Target, QVC, HSN, and Amazon. Conlan has also convinced senior management at HSN to launch Striiv SmartPedometer during multiple prime time TV slots during 2011 holiday season.

In their role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Striiv Inc., Conlan developed and refined a sales pitch that resulted in a 6x increase in sales ($6.8K dollars per minute) and #1 product in time slot. Conlan also developed the Best Buy account from initial contact and was awarded end-cap placement (#2 product) in 2012 and 1H 2013 Best Buy resets at no additional cost. In addition, they led customer acquisition (iPhone app) efforts through Tapjoy, Flurry, AppsGoneFree - which resulted in 2x increase in DAUs at $0.12 eCPI over a one month period.

Conlan Ma graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Conlan then went on to earn their M.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.S.&E from Stanford University as well.
