Greg Mesch

Chief Executive Officer at CityFibre

Greg Mesch is the current Chief Executive Officer at CityFibre. Greg has also previously served as a Non Executive Director at euNetworks, as well as the CEO and Board Member at Roving Planet. Prior to that, they were the Chief Operations Officer / CEO Internet Division at Versatel.

Mesch has been instrumental in the development and growth of several different companies in the telecommunications industry. Greg was a founding investor in Versatel, which later became one of the largest fibre based providers in Germany, Netherlands and Belgium markets. Greg also served as the COO and President of Internet division, during which time they provided the seed capital, developed and implemented the business plan.

Under their leadership, Versatel rasied over $1.2 billion in finacing, built a large local access fiber plant, launched the Netherlands most succesfull internet service provider - ZON, build DSL plant in Germany and Holland, acquired over 10 companies and was later sold to Tele2 for over €2 billion.

At Roving Planet, Mesch was brought in by a VC firm to work with the CEO and then later became its interim CEO. Greg successfully raised $16 million in venture capital for the company. Roving Planet was sold to 3COM and became its access control division.

Currently, as the CEO of CityFibre, Greg Mesch is leading the company’s charge to become the UK’s leading alternative provider

Greg Mesch has a Masters in Business/Finance from the University of Denver - Daniels College of Business. Greg also has a degree in Mathmatics and Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Some direct reports include Nick Dunn - Chief Financial Officer, Dan Ramsay - Chief Marketing Officer, and Polly Weitzman - Senior General Counsel.
