Riken Patel

VP of Engineering and Quality at A&A Coatings

Riken Patel has a long history of work experience in engineering and quality management. Riken began their career in 2003 as an intern at Windsor Machines Limited, where they worked on the design and optimization of extruders for injection molding machines. In 2003, they also started working at Larsen & Toubro Limited as a Design Engineer, where they were the lead plant and piping engineer in design and detail engineering of refinery projects. Riken was also deputed to BAE Value Creation Group and Jacobs Inc. in Calgary, Canada as an Area Engineer (Piping). In 2007, Riken began working at Florida International University as a Research Engineer, where they conducted image-based finite element analysis to predict ceramic and metal matrix composite properties by Objective Oriented Finite Element (OOF) technique. Riken also conducted experiments and process design for optimization of various thermal sprayed carbon nano-tubes (CNT) reinforced composite coating. In 2010, they began working at A&A Coatings as the VP of Engineering and Quality. In this role, they managed multiple projects from concept to implementation, defined project scope, established product developed processes and determined required resources for thermal sprayed coating application. Riken was also in charge of research and development for industrial research projects and university consortium projects for development of new composite material and coating application.

Riken Patel obtained their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Gujarat University from 1999 to 2003. Riken then went on to pursue a MS in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from Florida International University from 2007 to 2009.
