Thomas Baran

Thomas Baran is a Traffic Safety Specialist in Public Affairs at AAA Northern New England since May 2022, with expertise in education across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Prior to this role, Thomas served as a Fraud Investigator for the State of Maine's Department of Labor from August 2020 to May 2022. Thomas's extensive law enforcement experience includes positions such as Chief Deputy at the York County Sheriff's Office from March 2013 to July 2020, where responsibilities included assisting in the administration and operation of the office, as well as serving as Patrol Commander overseeing patrol and detective divisions. Thomas's career began at the York Police Department as a Sergeant from June 1989 to March 2013, supervising law enforcement officers and criminal investigations. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Maine, graduation from the FBI National Academy, and completion of training at various law enforcement academies.
