Melaku Tafese Awulachew is a chemical Engineer and researcher of Ethiopian renowned for researching one of the federal research institutions (Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research), in Ethiopia, employing science to benefit the nation, in Food Technology, Food (Process) engineering, Nutritional Biochemistry, Natural Products, Medical Biochemistry, Chemical Ecology, rheology, food safety, and food science and nutrition, agriculture, packaging. Melaku Tafese Awulachew was born in 1991, in Arsi, Ethiopia, to Arbagugu (Marti Worede, Abomsa town), an Ethiopian.

Melaku Tafese is a competent researcher and advisor in food systems, transformations, nutrition, food product development, and sustainability. He provided services as a consultant for various private agro-processing industries. His major strengths include leadership, coordination, research and analysis, planning, organizing, writing, presenting, giving training, and food formulation. Education and career:

Melaku Tafese earned a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Adama Science and Technology University in July 2015, and an M. Sc. in chemical Engineering from Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa University in March 2023 respectively.

Melaku Tafese has produced nine books and he has also published a number of journal articles including Food (processing) engineering, Food technology, food science and nutrition, product development and optimization, etc. Melaku Tafese also serves as a reviewer, editor, and section editor in different scientific journals.
