Celine Smeets

Celine Smeets currently serves as Corporate Governance and M&A Counsel at Aalberts N.V., focusing on M&A activities and statutory requirements for governance. Prior to this, Celine held various roles at ICL Group, including Head of Corporate & Regulatory and Senior Legal Counsel, overseeing governance across approximately 60 entities. Celine has also contributed to the Supervisory Boards of both ICL-IP Terneuzen B.V. and BK Giulini GmbH. Previous legal experience includes positions at Stibbe, Euroclear, and ING, specializing in finance transactions and corporate law. Celine's educational background includes advanced degrees in corporate law from VU Amsterdam and a governance leadership program from The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland.
