Alexander Speer

Alexander Speer is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience at AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing since January 2017. Currently serving as Coordinator of Advanced Engineering and Coordinator of Manufacturing Engineering, Alexander leads a team of 16 associates focused on plant performance, financial metrics, capital expenditures, and continuous improvement initiatives. Previous roles include Lead Forge Manufacturing Engineer, where Alexander managed and mentored engineering students and oversaw multiple product families, and Manufacturing Engineer (Forging), responsible for capital projects and manufacturing process improvements. Alexander also held positions in information technology coordination and industrial engineering, focusing on plant layouts, capacity planning, and ergonomics. Prior experience includes an engineering co-op at Tial Products Inc. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is pursuing a Master’s in Operations Management at Kettering University.
