Joe Mueller

Joe Mueller is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently serving as the Executive Director of Electrification Platform Development at AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing since July 2019. In this role, Joe leads the development of innovative electric drive unit platforms aimed at enhancing AAM's position in the global market. Joe’s previous roles at AAM include Product Line Executive for Core Technology and Executive Director of Corporate Strategy, focusing on product line strategies and core technology advancements. Prior to AAM, Joe held various leadership positions at Magna International, where responsibilities included overseeing global engineering centers and advancements in driveline systems. Joe began a career at New Venture Gear, progressing from engineering co-op to Engineering Manager, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an Executive MBA from Syracuse University.
