Joseph Lewelling

Vice President, Emerging Technologies And Health IT at AAMI

Joseph Lewelling has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Joseph began their career in 1990 at AAMI, where they held the role of Senior Advisor, Strategy and Content. Joseph then progressed to become Vice President, Emerging Technologies and Health IT in 2012. In 2007, Joseph joined the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, where they served as Vice-President, Standards Development. In this role, they oversaw the administration of numerous technical committees, managed department operations, supervised staff, developed and monitored budgets, and collaborated with regulatory agencies and other associations to advance the interests of the medical technology community. Joseph's work experience showcases their expertise and leadership in strategy, content, emerging technologies, health IT, and standards development.

Joseph Lewelling completed their Masters in International Transactions at George Mason University from 1993 to 1996. Joseph focused on the field of study in International Regulation of Trade during their time at this institution. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1989, they pursued a Master of Arts in Physical Anthropology at the University of Tennessee. Joseph'sspecialization during this program was in Skeletal Forensics and Population Biology.
