Colleen Accardo

Colleen Accardo has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of stage management and community collaborations. Colleen'smost recent role was as a Project Specialist at the American Academy of Pediatrics, starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at the Kenneth Young Center as a Community Collaborations Supervisor from April 2022 to August 2022, and as a Community Collaboration Team Lead from August 2021 to April 2022.

Before transitioning to their current field, Colleen worked at Walt Disney World as a Cast Member on the Opening Team for Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run, from May 2019 to December 2020. Colleen then transferred to a part-time role as a Convention Guide in special events.

In their earlier years, Colleen gained extensive experience in stage management. Colleen served as an Assistant Stage Manager at Illinois Theatre from September 2015 to May 2019. Colleen also worked as a Stage Manager at Illinois Theatre/Lyric Theatre from January 2018 to April 2019, and as an Assistant Stage Manager at Cortland Repertory Theatre from May 2018 to August 2018.

Colleen's stage management journey also included positions as an Assistant Stage Manager at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts from January 2016 to September 2017, as a Stage Management Intern at Hope Summer Repertory Theatre from May 2017 to August 2017, as an Assistant Stage Manager for Dance at Illinois from January 2016 to November 2016, and as an Assistant Stage Manager at Summer Place Theatre from May 2016 to July 2016.

Colleen Accardo pursued their education at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on Stage Management. Colleen also holds additional certifications in CPR and First Aid, certified by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
