Kenneth Shaffer

Kenneth Shaffer is a dedicated pediatric cardiologist with extensive experience in both clinical and academic settings. They served as the Director of Pediatric Cardiology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center from 1996 to 1999 and later joined Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas in 2002, where they continue to work as a pediatric cardiologist. Kenneth held leadership roles, including Chair of the Coding and Nomenclature Committee for the American Academy of Pediatrics from 2011 to 2020 and currently works as a Pediatric Cardiologist and Associate Professor at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. They earned their Doctor of Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and have contributed significantly to the field through various committees and advocacy work.
