Susan began their career as a Staff Writer at The Times of Northwest Indiana, where they covered various topics including politics, government, and schools. Susan then worked as a Freelance Writer and Editor for several years, showcasing their versatile writing skills and attention to detail. During this time, they wrote and edited a range of content for different clients.

In 1998, Susan joined the Daily Herald as a Staff Writer. Susan excelled in a highly competitive market, consistently leading the competition on key news stories.
