Sangeeta Fernandes

Sangeeta Fernandes, Ph.D., possesses extensive experience in practice management and program direction, currently serving as the Director of Practice Management at the American Academy of Ophthalmology since January 2009. Prior to this role, Sangeeta held the position of Program Director at the Institute for Community Health Research—RAND Corporation, CDU & UCLA from February 2007 to November 2008. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Communications, as well as multiple master's degrees in Communications Management, French Literature, and French Language and Literature from the University of Southern California and the University of Goa. Sangeeta also holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Mumbai.
