Dr. Aysha Edwards is a highly experienced healthcare professional currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at AAR Hospital since December 2020, with previous roles including Ag Chief Executive Officer and Director of Clinical Services. Prior to this, Dr. Edwards worked as a Hospital Operations Consultant at HHI for a brief period in late 2020 and held various positions at The Nairobi Hospital, including Ag. Director of Medical Services and Research, Outpatient Coordinator, and Emergency Medicine Physician from June 2017 to September 2020. Additional experience includes serving as the District Medical Officer at Tobago Regional Health Authority and a Temporary Independent Senator in the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Edwards has also worked as a Senior House Officer and Intern at North Central Regional Health Authority and Port of Spain General Hospital, respectively. Educational qualifications comprise a Postgraduate Degree in Emergency Medicine and dual undergraduate degrees in Medicine, including a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Medical Science, all obtained from The University of the West Indies.
