Florian Kern

Florian Kern is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the hospitality finance and development sectors. Currently serving as Vice President at Aareal Bank AG since January 2019, Florian leads cross-functional teams in origination and negotiation of significant hotel and purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) financings across Europe and Canada, managing a substantial loan portfolio. Prior roles include Manager of Hotel Development for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) focusing on expanding brand presence in the DACH region and positions in revenue management which involved strategic planning and organizational restructuring. Florian's career began with foundational roles across various hospitality and marketing sectors, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Business and Education from the University of Mannheim and a degree in Business Administration from National Chengchi University.
