Doug Farmer

Doug Farmer is an accomplished professional in network architecture and telecommunications with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as the Network Architecture Programme Manager and previously as Product Portfolio Manager at AARNet since January 2018, Doug has a long-standing tenure at AARNet, having worked as a Principal Consultant and Project Director from 2005 to 2022. Earlier roles include Managing Consultant at Optus and Consultant at Cable & Wireless Optus+. Doug's career began in the Royal Australian Air Force as an Officer Cadet, followed by technical roles at Telecom Australia. Doug holds a Bachelor's degree in Business & Electronic Commerce from Monash University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Project Management from the University of New England, a Short Course in Carbon Accounting from Swinburne University, and studied Electronics & Communications Engineering at RMIT University.
