Elizabeth Russo, J.D., M.P.H. serves as the Government Affairs Director at AARP since 2024. Previously, they were the Senior Attorney/Chief Counsel for the American Bar Association Commission on Law and Aging from 2023 to 2024 and held the role of Deputy Director at the State of Alaska Office of Public Advocacy from 2019 to 2022. Their experience also includes serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Alaska Department of Law from 2004 to 2008 and completing a Judicial Law Clerkship with the State of Alaska Court System from 2003 to 2004. Elizabeth is currently pursuing a Doctor of Law degree at Boston University School of Law and a Master of Public Health degree at Boston University School of Public Health, alongside a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College.
