Eric Evans

Eric Evans has extensive experience in advocacy and political campaign management, currently serving as the State Advocacy Manager for AARP since January 2015, where efforts focus on consumer advocacy in healthcare, employment security, and retirement planning. Prior to AARP, Eric was the Grassroots Advocacy Manager for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network from October 2005 to January 2015, successfully lobbying for funding increases for cancer screenings in Kentucky. Eric also held leadership roles with the Kentucky Democratic Party, including Political Director in 2004, where campaign planning and fundraising efforts culminated in the management of a $1 million budget, and Deputy State Senate Caucus Director from 2001 to 2002, supporting successful campaigns for state senators. Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Western Kentucky University, obtained in 2000.
