Evan Nielson

Evan Nielson, CMP, has extensive experience in event management, currently serving as an Event Manager at AARP since May 2016, where responsibilities include producing around 25 in-person, virtual, and hybrid events annually, providing event technology expertise, and serving as Cvent Administrator for the Events department. Previously, Evan held roles as Event Planner and Event Coordinator at AARP, managing approximately 30 events per year, overseeing the adoption of event platforms, and facilitating staff training on virtual events. Earlier experience includes positions at The George Washington University, where Evan supported event space requests, trained staff, and coordinated summer housing for conference guests. Evan holds a Master's in Tourism Administration with a focus on Event and Meeting Management and has completed a Professional Certificate in Event Management from The George Washington University.
