Kathryn Fencl

Kathryn Fencl is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in event management and strategic support, currently serving as the Sr. Special Projects Advisor in the Offices of the CEO & Chief of Staff at AARP since July 2004. In this role, Kathryn collaborates with various departments and external partners to advance the CEO's engagements that promote AARP’s mission globally. Previously, Kathryn played a key role as a Sr. Events Management Specialist, managing over 100 events annually, and was instrumental in the AARP Drive to End Hunger NASCAR sponsorship. Earlier experience includes positions as an Event Specialist and Events Intern at AARP, as well as an Assistant Catering Manager at Kohler Co. Kathryn holds both an MTA in Meeting & Event Management and a BBA in Hospitality & Tourism from The George Washington University School of Business.
