Kathy Betts is a seasoned professional in healthcare policy and community health improvement, currently serving as a Consultant for Cambridge Health Alliance since January 2016 and previously as Director of Community Health Improvement. Betts has extensive experience in leadership roles within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including serving as Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services and Assistant Secretary of Children, Youth & Families. With significant expertise in program management, Betts has directed various initiatives, including a $9 million SAMHSA grant for Early Childhood Mental Health and the transfer of Social Security Supplemental Payment administration that generated annual savings of $15-$17 million. Currently, Betts also volunteers with AARP, focusing on educational initiatives for members in Massachusetts.
