Matt Leister

Matt Leister, CISA, currently serves as IT Internal Audit Manager at AARP, overseeing the IT Internal Audit function for multiple legal entities and engaging with senior management and the board. Previously, Matt held roles as Senior IT Auditor and General IT Auditor at GEICO and Sober City Recovery Center, respectively, focusing on SOX compliance and operational improvements. Early career experience includes a Business Advisory Services Senior Associate role at Grant Thornton LLP, providing IT and business process audit services across various industries. Additional experience includes contributions to Leisters Furniture and leadership in the Consulting Club at Virginia Tech, where Matt coordinated projects and workshops.
