Kate Skegg

Kate Skegg is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in social media management and grassroots organization. Currently a member of Woman Corp since November 2022, Skegg advocates for women's rights against corporate interests. In roles at AAUW Illinois, Inc. and AAUW since 2009, Skegg has contributed as a Social Media Manager and Coordinator for the Chicago Tech Savvy program, which encourages middle school girls' interests in STEM fields. Skegg also serves on a Strategic Communications Task Force to enhance AAUW's communication strategies. Additionally, Skegg has been a Social Media Manager for Dare to Dream: Get Educated! since August 2008, supporting Latina students in their educational journeys. Academically, Skegg holds a Master of Arts in Online and Distance Education from The Open University, a Certificate in Education focusing on Biology from Garnett College, and a Bachelor of Science with honors in Microbiology from UCL.
