Buel Rodgers

Buel Rodgers is the Founder and CEO at AAVogen. Buel was previously a Professor and Director at Washington State University and an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University.

Rodgers has over fifteen years of experience in the field of muscle biology. Their research has focused on the cell and gene therapeutics of muscle, with the goal of developing treatments for muscle-related disorders. Buel has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses in science and the philosophy of science.

In their current role at AAVogen, Rodgers is responsible for all aspects of the company, including development, fund raising, coordination of group meetings, and faculty recruiting and mentoring. Under their leadership, AAVogen has become a leading provider of gene therapy products and services.

Buel Rodgers has a PhD in Endocrinology from University of California, Berkeley. Buel was a postdoctoral fellow in biochemistry and molecular biology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Buel did their postdoctoral fellowship in biochemistry and molecular biology at National Institute on Aging/Diabetes Unit.
