Paul Gurries is an experienced Operating Engineer with a career spanning over three decades, beginning with an apprenticeship at Operating Engineers Local 3 from 1990 to 1994. Currently employed at A&B Construction since November 2016, Paul specializes in operating heavy equipment, primarily on publicly funded underground projects. Previous roles include positions at Kiewit Pacific, Granite Construction, Flatiron Construction, DeSilva Gates, O.C. Jones, and Valverde General Engineering Contractors, where notable projects included relocating utilities for the Central Subway project. Throughout the career, Paul has consistently demonstrated expertise in operating various types of heavy equipment, particularly in underground work.

Established in 1991, A&B Construction provides construction services for high profile projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our services include demolition, mass excavation, structural excavation, utilities, grading and paving. We also help our clients with pre-construction services including investigative potholing, archaeological excavation, site clearing and storm water pollution prevention. Our goal is to deliver a high quality service, safely and on schedule. We succeed because we have an experienced team. We employ union laborers and operators.
