Dieter Veldhuis has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dieter is currently the CTO at Ab Ovo, leading a team of econometricians that focuses on digitizing complex processes and utilizing AI-driven solutions for customer transformation and data analysis. Prior to this, they served as the Manager Development APS, overseeing a team of developers in creating applications that add business value for customers. Dieter also worked as a Technical Consultant in APS, specializing in algorithm development and software engineering in the Rail and Aviation sectors. Before joining Ab Ovo, Dieter held an internship position at PostNL and worked as a Student at the University of Amsterdam. Dieter also worked as a Software Engineer at SARC, where they developed a stowage plan generator for the Royal Netherlands Navy using genetic algorithms. Dieter's early career includes a teaching role at Studiebegeleidingscentrum Amsterdam and a brief stint as a Bookkeeper at Deloitte & Touche. Overall, Dieter has a diverse background in technology, mathematics, and business operations.
Dieter Veldhuis holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Operations Research & Management from the University of Amsterdam, which they obtained from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (BAS) degree in Business Mathematics from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, from 2004 to 2008. Dieter also attended ROC van Amsterdam from 2000 to 2004 for their bookkeeper-administrator training.
