Michael Jeans Msc McIps

Michael Jeans MSc MCIPS has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the manufacturing and materials management fields.

Michael started their career at ABB as a Production Planner from 2000 to 2003.

Michael then moved to GE Energy Connections, where they served as a Lean Six-sigma Black belt from 2004 to 2006, optimizing business processes and providing training and mentorship in supply chain and Lean manufacturing.

Following that, they took on the role of Material Manager at GE Energy Connections' manufacturing plant in Groby Leicester, UK from 2006 to 2007, overseeing purchasing, production planning, stores, and logistics departments.

In 2007, Michael took on a senior leadership position as the Senior Materials Manager in China for GE Energy Connections, where they were responsible for achieving operational excellence and compliance with regulations.

In 2011, they joined ABB as the Senior Projects Leader in Asia, supporting the growth of the Asia pole within the GE Consumer & Industrial business by identifying suitable product candidates for manufacturing transfer.

More recently, Michael worked at Abaco Systems, Inc., initially as a Senior Materials Planning Manager from 2014 to 2019, where they led the materials organization and prepared operational and revenue report outs to executive teams and investors. Michael later became the Global Sales Inventory Operations Planning Manager (SIOP) in 2019.

Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in materials management, production planning, and Lean Six-sigma methodologies. Michael has consistently contributed to the growth and success of the organizations they have worked for.

Michael Jeans MSc MCIPS has a solid education background. Michael pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of Liverpool from 2002 to 2003. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from The University of Huddersfield, spanning from 1995 to 1998.
