Armando Cabrera is a seasoned professional currently serving as the Director of Engineering and Financial Engineer at Abacus Life since August 2021. Previously, Armando gained valuable experience at the University of Pennsylvania as a Teaching Assistant for Programming Language and Tech I, where responsibilities included leading recitations, holding office hours, and grading assignments. Armando also worked as a Laboratory Assistant in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, focusing on design and construction of laboratory apparatuses using CAD software, 3D printing, and laser cutting. Additional experience includes a Data Analyst Intern role at Gallop, where Armando contributed to software development for data metrics and graphical displays, and an internship at Siemens, involving analysis of thermodynamic properties and software development for field data analysis. Prior to these roles, Armando was the Fellow Coordinator at Moelis Access Science, leading meetings and teaching engineering topics to high school students.
