Doreen Awanga

Doreen Awanga currently serves as the Group Head of Legal & Company Secretary at Abacus Pharma (A) Limited since March 2024. Previously, Doreen held the position of Company Secretary at Cipla Quality Chemical Industries Ltd from June 2019 to October 2024 and served as Legal Manager at Uganda Electricity Generation Company Ltd from September 2016 to June 2019. Doreen's career also includes a role as Manager Legal & Compliance at Vision Group from March 2011 to August 2016. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Cumbria, an ACIS in Governance from The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Makerere University.
