John Burns

John Burns has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, starting in 2005 as the State Manager NSW/ACT at Symbion Medical Centres. John then held various management roles, including General Manager at Eastbrooke Medical Centres and National Operations & Business Development Manager - Medical Centres at Healthscope.

In 2010, they joined Ochre Health Medical Centres as the Chief Operating Officer and later became the CEO. John continued their CEO roles at VetPartners Australia and New Zealand and Only About Children.

In 2021, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Better Medical and also served as the Board Member (Chair). Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer of Abano Healthcare Group. Additionally, they have served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra from 2012 to 2018.

John Burns completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and Finance from Western Sydney University from 1989 to 1992. John then pursued their Master's degree in Organisational Behaviour & Marketing from UNSW, which they completed from 1993 to 1995.
