Jack Lebien

Jack LeBien has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and research. Jack is currently serving as the Lead Data Scientist at abartysHealth since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Part-time Data Scientist and later as the Lead Data Scientist at Rainforest Connection (RFCx). At RFCx, they were responsible for developing deep learning solutions for bioacoustic monitoring and backend development for an AWS-based data analysis platform.

Before joining RFCx, Jack was a Research Assistant at the US Naval Research Laboratory from 2019 to 2022. Jack also worked as a Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer at Sieve Analytics from 2019 to 2020. Furthermore, Jack has research experience as a Research Associate at the Department of Biological Sciences, University of New Orleans, and the LADC Gulf Ecological Monitoring and Modeling Consortium.

Additionally, Jack has contributed to the field of bioinformatics and machine learning as a Data Scientist at OmicsLogic Inc. where they developed web-based educational material and assisted in developing the T-BioInfo bioinformatics platform. Lastly, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Pontchartrain Institute for Environmental Sciences.

Jack LeBien holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the University of New Orleans. In addition, they have obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2023.
