Julian Velev

Dr. Julian Velev is the current Chief Science Officer at Abartys Health. Julian has also held positions at the University of Puerto Rico, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Dr. Velev received their PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002. Julian's research focuses on nanotechnology and its applications in the medical field. Julian has authored numerous papers on the topic and has been recognized as an expert in the field.

In their current position at Abartys Health, Dr. Velev is responsible for leading the company's scientific research and development efforts. Julian is also working on developing new products and technologies that can be used to improve the quality of healthcare.

Julian Velev holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as MA degrees in Philosophy and Economics from the Universidad de Puerto Rico. Julian also has MS degrees in Computer Science and Physics from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. In addition to their academic credentials, Julian Velev is certified as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, IKO Instructor Level 1, IBM Blockchain Essentials, and AlienVault USM Anywhere: Deployment and Configuration.

They work with Jesuan Betancourt - CTO, Luis Alicea - Vice President. Their manager is Florian Gaa, General Manager.
