Alejandro Silva Tapia

Alejandro Silva Tapia is an experienced professional in innovation and business development, currently serving as the Head of the Innovation & Business Development Unit and previously as a Technology & Innovation Senior Engineer at ABASTIBLE S.A. since July 2019. Prior to this role, Alejandro worked at the Ministerio de Energía Chile from April 2014 to July 2019, focusing on sustainable energies and energy efficiency for the mining and industry sectors. Alejandro's early career included positions as a Process Engineer at the Unidad de Desarrollo Tecnológico (UDT) at Universidad de Concepción and De Re Metallica Ingeniería SpA, where responsibilities included computer simulations, mass and energy balances, and process optimization. Alejandro holds a Master of Science in Advanced Chemical Process Design from The University of Manchester and additional master's and professional degrees in Chemical Engineering from Universidad de Concepción.
