Scott Friesen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Scott is currently the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Abax Health, a leading AI-powered clinical analytics and patient engagement platform focused on solving healthcare revenue and patient access challenges. Prior to that, they were the Founder and Managing Director of Westport Health.
Before their work at Abax Health and Westport Health, Scott founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of Newport Credentialing Solutions, a provider of cloud-based software and services for the credentialing life cycle in the healthcare industry. During their tenure, Newport Credentialing Solutions was ranked #1 in Credentialing and Privileging by Black Book Research multiple times.
Scott also had a role as an Advisor at Science House, an organization dedicated to promoting science globally, where they provided insights and made seed stage investments in high-tech companies. Scott was also part of Apollo Health Street as a Regional Vice President and Assistant Vice President. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Associate at Stockamp & Associates - A Huron Consulting Group Company and as a Consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
In the early stages of their career, Scott was an Inventor at Walker Digital, a company focused on developing and licensing intellectual property.
Scott Friesen attended Calvin University from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained dual Bachelor's degrees in History and Philosophy. Scott then pursued further education at Yale University from 1998 to 2000, earning a Master of Arts degree in History and Religion.
