Gunel Jafarli

Gunel Jafarli, MBA, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in internal control and consumer appeals within the banking sector. Currently serving as a Senior Specialist at ABB's Internal Control Department and Head of the Consumer Appeals Division since August 2017, Gunel has also held various roles at Unibank from January 2013 to August 2017, contributing to customer service and complaint resolution. Additionally, Gunel is an active member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Azerbaijan and the expert group on "Protection of Rights of Financial Services Consumers" within the Azerbaijan Banks Association since May 2024, focusing on the improvement of consumer rights and cross-institutional collaboration. Gunel holds an MBA in International Business and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
