Thorsten Staudt is the CEO of abberior since January 2025 and has extensive experience in advanced materials and business development. Previously held several positions at BASF from July 2017 to January 2025, including Head of Center of Excellence for Metal Systems Application and New Business Development Manager, where responsibilities ranged from quality control in metal injection molding to developing industrial-grade 3D printed metal parts. Staudt also served as Interim-Head of the Metal Filaments business line, and earlier roles included Innovation Manager and Lab Team Leader, focusing on research and development in various materials. Prior academic achievements include a PostDoc at the German Cancer Research Center and a PhD in Chemistry from Heidelberg University, working under Nobel Laureate Stefan Hell.
