Mike Robertson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Mike is currently the Chief Executive Officer at AbbeyCross since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Advisor at AdvisoryCloud starting in March 2020. In 2022, they also held Non-Executive Director positions at Moneycorp Americas from May 2022 to May 2023 and at Mode from June 2022 to March 2023.

Mike has a strong background in finance and banking. Mike served as the Global Head of Transactional FX Trading at Merrill Lynch from June 2013 to April 2022, where they had P&L responsibility for operational payment flows and was involved in TFX product and risk platform development. Before that, they held the role of MD and Global Head of Transactional FX at HSBC from November 2010 to March 2013.

Earlier in their career, Mike worked at Royal Bank of Scotland in two different roles. Mike was the Head of Retail & Partnerships, Electronic Markets from an unknown start date to August 2010 and the Head of Fxmicropay sales from an unknown start date to 2008. Prior to that, they were the Director of Digital Media at News Corporation from December 1999 to December 2001.

Mike's experience also includes consulting work as a Principal Consultant and Co-owner at Vardus from February 1995 to October 1999. Mike started their career as a Sales Director at Kellogs in 1992, where they worked until 1994.

Mike Robertson has a diverse education history. Mike earned a B.Comm degree in Economics, with a focus on Investment Management, from the University of Johannesburg, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. In 2002 to 2003, they pursued an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General, from Hult Ashridge. Additionally, during the same period, they obtained another MBA in Business Administration from Cass Business School. In 2021, Mike completed the Oxford Fintech Programme, a certification offered by the University of Oxford.
