Jose Alvarez

Jose Alvarez has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Jose began their career in 2005 as an Associate at Morgan Stanley, where they were a member of a team focused on selling structured notes linked to equities, commodities, interest rates, and currencies to Latin American based clients. During their time there, they built a client base consisting of Latin American pensions funds, local broker dealers, government agencies, asset managers, family offices, onshore and offshore private banks, and developed the platform for servicing and executing trades with private bank clients from front office execution to back office and booking operations. In 2008, Jose moved to ING, where they served as Vicepresident and was a member of the institutional sales trading team covering all areas of equity derivatives including, equity swaps, listed options, structured notes, OTC options and exotic options. Jose was responsible for covering institutional clients for the product across Latin America, with a focus on Mexico, and introduced the team to various Mexican institutions. In 2010, Jose joined Citi as Director, where they were a member of a team responsible for selling structured notes and OTC product to retail and institutional clients in Latin America. Jose was responsible for the institutional mandate in Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico, and also lead the third party retail mandate for all Latin American clients. In 2015, Jose co-founded ABBOTT NYC.

Jose Alvarez attended Valley Forge Military Academy & College from 1998 to 2000, and then received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Villanova University from 2000 to 2004.
